Examples of scholarly activities include attending conferences, seminars, journal club, grand rounds, morbidity and mortality meetings, interdisciplinary committees, quality improvement committees, and any other opportunities available at your site, within your community, or nationally.
You are required to post at least one documented scholarly activity by the end of this course. In addition to this submission, you are required to be involved and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives on a regular basis.
Submit, by way of this assignment, a summary report of the scholarly activity, including who, what, where, when, and any relevant take-home points. Include the appropriate program competencies associated with the scholarly activity as well as future professional goals related to this activity. You may use the "Scholarly Activity Summary" resource to help guide this assignment.

Overview
The healthcare environment is increasingly changing, which creates the need to ensure that nurses and other practitioners received further training and education, which is needed to promote their competencies and improve the quality of services they provide to their patients. Previously, I have participated in numerous conferences that aimed to enlighten healthcare practitioners about the need to promote interprofessional collaboration in the healthcare setting. There are numerous benefits associated with interprofessional collaboration that was learned by participating in the conferences; for example, engaging practitioners from different fields helps improve the quality of care provided to patients with complex health problems. Besides, participating in these conferences helped reduce medical errors in the hospital and facilitate staff relationships and job satisfaction.
Problem
The chances of errors happening are high when multiple doctors prescribe numerous medications, and when different nurses deliver these medications without proper and effective cooperation among healthcare practitioners. Additionally, a high rate of inefficiencies, complaints, and high healthcare costs affect the services a health facility offers to the patients. High medical errors and inefficiencies are enormous problems in hospitals, and not only do they affect the health facilities, but they also impact individuals seeking medical services (Bosch & Mansell, 2015). For example, carelessness in a health facility, increasing the cost of care because it can increase hospitalization and delay discharges, which reduces the quality of care provided to patients.
By participating in the conferences about interprofessional collaboration, the nurse connects and interacts with other professionals from different healthcare facilities who share their experiences about the impacts of interprofessional collaboration in improving healthcare delivery and facilitating satisfaction among patients and nurses. Besides, nurses would also understand how systems and processes within the health facility may be re-engineered to help involve practitioners in different fields in the treatment of every patient. Such interactions require that nurses provide and combine the expertise in their distinctive areas to improve the care they offer to patients in the hospital; this is recommended, particularly among patients with complicated health problems.
Solution
