The medical field is an intriguing one, while at the same time, exciting for those who have a calling for it. I am making this application, with the hope that it will be successful in granting me the chance to advance my education, from my current position as a licensing vocational nurse to a qualified graduate with Degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). From a very tender age, I have always had this burning desire to be a fully qualified nurse. My education has not only incorporated classwork, but also field experience, which has ensured that I can apply the concepts learned in class to real-life situations.
I have chosen to continue pursuing a degree in nursing since it has been my lifetime ambition, to achieve and also help people in the society. I have seen so many individuals, not only in the larger community but also within my family, who have struggled and suffered in the hands of mediocre or incompetent medical practitioners. I have also had the chance of witnessing people even succumbing to their respective ailments, all because of incompetent medical personnel who were hell-bent on the financial reward for the job rather than the humanitarian aspect of it. I have both long-term and short-term goals. My long-term goal is to achieve my qualification as a BSN nurse, while my short term is to continue working as an LVN nurse.
I believe this university is an ideal educational institution to pursue my dreams. It is well-equipped with the most advanced facilities that make education all the more interesting and easily understandable. It also has a track record of academic excellence, with most top medical practitioners having gone through it, on their way up. It is, therefore, the best place to entrust my future with. I intend to use the education I get here, also to educate and help others too. In addition to any monetary reward attached to it, I will obtain satisfaction in the knowledge that I helped people in one way or another.
During my education, I have managed to gain much experience during my stints in various places. I have worked as a licensed vocational nurse in a long-term institution, where I was able to learn the challenge of handling pressure while maintaining professionalism.
