Employees are an invaluable source in ensuring a business meets its goals and objectives and each business has to strive to ensure they take care of the employees. The main reason for this assertion is that employees play a monumental role in promoting company profitability and success through interaction with customer's well, quality service provision, time management, and working in conjunction with management to meet goals, as they are channels through which company strategy is implemented. This study aims at enumerating three ways in which Starbucks, Ritz Hotel, Maui Divers Jewelry, and Converse take care of its employees and further develop additional three ways by which a company can take care of its employees.
Starbucks
Starbuck has a high satisfaction rate of 82% among its employees who are treated as essential partners in the company. This is achieved by the manner in which Starbucks treats its employees, with the first manner being treating each employee with equity where each employee is treated with fairness at Starbucks in terms of promotions, rewards, job roles, and other factors. The second manner through which Starbucks teats its employees is providing rewards and instrumental satisfaction in form of personal rewards like incentive and promotions for example health coverage (life insurance, sick pay, disability coverage, dental plan and Routine Care PPO), reimbursement accounts, and programs for employee assistance. The third way of treating employees is at Starbucks is providing enough training and education to employees and also providing a great working environment and treating employees respectively.
Ritz Hotel
The hospitality industry is competitive, all factors come into play for success, and goal achievement, but employees play an important role as this is a service industry and customer satisfaction is important in ensuring high sales and profitability. Ritz hotel through its employee treatment programs has managed to be the best in the hospitality industry through public recognition of exemplary employees in front of their peers.
