The Action Plan identified the management tactics and strategies that would be implemented to attain the strategic goals for LongHorn Steakhouse restaurant’s business functions. In this paper, a communication plan is developed that would be used to disseminate the action plan to the stakeholders. The strategies that would be used in the communication plan are identified. The managerial/leadership skills that would be drawn upon in implementing the plan are described.

Publications: the action plan would be published in the company’s newsletters and annual reports. In the publications, language would be utilized that would be suitable for the target audience. It would also be published in recognized journal articles (Thelwall & Kousha, 2015). Website: A copy of the information would also be put in the company’s website. The web pages would explain the action plan, the strategic goals and the activities that would be undertaken to attain those goals. All the stakeholders wherever they are would be able to read about the action plan on the website and get to learn about it. Workshops and conferences: The stakeholders would be invited to formal scheduled meetings and conferences in which the action plan would be discussed at length. This will ensure that the stakeholders get to learn about the action plan. Sending e-mails: emails would be sent to all the relevant stakeholders. It is notable that emails are an easy and direct way of communicating with the many stakeholders (Harzing & Adler, 2016). Letters and memoranda: the action plan would also be disseminated through the use of letters and memoranda that would be sent to the stakeholders. These formal communication strategies would be utilized in order to raise awareness by letting the stakeholders know about the action plan and strategic goals and how the goals would be attained, to inform and educate the stakeholders, and to engage the stakeholders by getting feedback and input from them.
