Chris Sullivan film is flat and home made something that shows defiance and exception to the rules of contemporary cartoon entertainment. In this century, animations should be computer generated and in three dimension unlike Sullivan’s. Sullivan pushes the line between his creativity and experience by creating unique dialogues and actions for the animations. In his film Consuming spirits, he makes subliminal connections between character and images due the mixed animation style. Sullivan combines puppets, models and drawings to archive a unique, lyrical and grotesque film.
