1 Son House produced the song Levee Camp Blues with the story of a woman who is after a man who is working on the levee and has been paid with a fair amount of money. Based on the song, the woman is just after the money of the man who loves her. The speaker is presumed to be the man himself. This song is considered blues since it is African-American music which expresses the emotion of the singer. The singer in the narrative has lost his love because he realized that he was just being used (Mizelle, 2013).
2 The song ”Keep on the Sunnyside” by the Carter Family relay the message of staying positive despite the obstacles and challenges that may come along the way.
