The COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected venture capital in the United States. The investors in the industry have realized the moment of enormous losses and fall of their businesses. On the other hand, as many companies lay off their workers, an approximate of 17, 450 people in the population have become jobless (Thorne & Mathur, 2020). The economy is going through a period of stagnation since some people do not contribute any income to growth. However, they are not to be blamed as they are also struggling to make ends meet with the little amounts of savings they had in the pre-pandemic period. Thus, everyone in the economy is hurting, and the venture capital industry is not an exception (Thorne & Mathur, 2020). Is the leveling up by COVID-19 the end of the industry?
