Government’s Advantages for Controlling the Press
When the government controls the press, its responsibility to ensure that it brings up the youths in a good environment becomes simple. The current media can damage this environment if allowed to spread the information freely through the internet, which the teenagers will misuse and affect their mental health. This effect is a great concern to the society.
The government is able to secure the society. The administration gets it easy to protect those who could become the victims of internet fraud. Criminals can take advantage of the media and engage in internet fraud if the government fails to control the press.
Government's Disadvantages for Controlling the Press
When the government controls the press, it affects its development. Since, media's freedom is their human right, they should inform the public. When the government controls them, they stop being humans and start acting like robots. A nation with a lot of robots cannot grow.
