Spruyt, H., (2002), states that, there has been an increased state of differences, witnessed among states, where, a majority of the states located in certain regions are benefiting from the collaborations created by the states that come together, while others have continued to suffer due to the formed coalitions. In the text, Spruyt (2002) also states that, the issue of globalization, which has been characterized by the desire to enhance a collaborated trade system and financial institutions, is what has created the increased suffering to some states, and the success of other states. In the study,Spruyt (2002) also focuses on trying to expound on the issue of the origin of states, as a way of trying to answer the mystery and the suffering of a majority of the states, and as a way of trying to answer the challenges which face a majority of the states across the globe. In order to enhance the effectiveness in the research for the emergence of states, Spruyt (2002) also states that, it is important to understand the issues of the modern states, in relation to its emergence, its development and even the issue related to the economy, the security, as well as the institutional approaches used in the various states.
