Inequality for All
A lot of people talk about economy, but when it comes to taxes, poverty, and jobs it is best explained by Robert Reich who is the main character in the movie. Inequality For All is a movie that is a combination of a lecture and a biopic of Reich. The basis of the film is pattered around the class he had in Berkeley about Wealth and Poverty. There is an argument given in the film that says when the middle class is doing good, it means the economy is good. It is because the USA’s economy is consumer-based so if the middle class has extra money to spend, there is growth in the economy.
His professor in Berkeley asks: What is wealth disparity, why is it happening, and is it good or bad?” From this question, a lot can be learned because Reich explains the shifting percentages related to the wealth of America that has happened in the 20th century.
One of the greatest lessons that can be learned in the film is that Reich points out that a free market does not exist and there will always be rules (2013). It is a matter of knowing who will benefit from the rules, who suffers because of them, and why did it start to change in the past 30 years that passed.
