The clip is from the Baby Daddy comedy ABC TV series, and follows the life of Ben struggling to raise his young daughter and his brother Danny, his friend male friend Tucker and Riley his female friend (Straight Edge). Even as the baby’s mother, Angela later on reappears in Ben’s life he has grown attached to his baby daughter Emma. Riley has various dimensions as a nurturing female friend who is independent and has ambitions of her own. From the beginning Ben is not comfortable handling the baby duties. Focus on gender roles highlights that Angela may be a bad mother for having left her child with Ben. Mothers are expected to be nurturing and in many cases single parents caring for young children tend to be the mothers. Even as Ben comes around to the idea of taking care of the baby, he is awkward that when Riley appears he is glad to pass his daughter to her who is held for long. Ben requires female help to raise the daughter, but it also shows that he is caring and willing to learn. Angela’s thereat to adopt baby Emma nudges him to think through whether to give away his parental rights or fight for the child he has grown fond of while staying with her. The rival of baby Emma changes the lives of the three men living together, and this is especially for Ben who has to mature up. Ben had to step out of his comfort zone to take care of Emma.
