Technology evolves over time, and I am more prepared to face different technological innovations and inventions that are coming up. Emerging technologies are designed and created to improvement in how people carry out their work, do things and to improve their own well-being (Peters 1400). Since technology plays a leading role in increasing productivity it gives firms and countries a competitive advantage. Artificial intelligence and technology to reduce greenhouse gases are some of the emerging technology innovations that will influence my life and the workplace.
Augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) reflects the mix of these concepts, which allows interacting with physical elements within a virtual world, or virtual within the physical world are changing time the way users perceive the world, and lead to new immersive experiences. The application of these technologies is mostly in marketing and entertainment, but also education. Further development in AI will make the technology transformative and even disruptive, with the potential to be integrated in various aspects of life (Venkatesh 06). However, it is likely that many people will lose their jobs when the technology becomes more widespread.
Artificial intelligence is a support tool that performs tasks based on data and increasingly enhances connectivity humans and bridges the gap between man and machine. Increasingly, governments and industry leaders will invest more in data to improve machine learning and AI. Increased use of data in AI will spur other innovations as there are many possibilities beside machine learning, natural language processing and robotics (Brougham and Haar 242). These technologies will have profound impact on the economy by increasing efficiency and productivity and I will need to have some knowledge on the technology to be competitive.
