Since 2015 to date, Yemen has been undergoing a fierce civil war that has rampaged the country’s resources and left many people dead, and others displaced. Most of its population has sought refuge and asylum in the neighboring countries of Asia. On the other hand, the federal republic of Germany is a country which is located in the Western and central regions of Europe. During the 2019 population estimation, Yemen has a projected population of 29,977,000 people. It stands on a 527,970 km2 piece of land with a population density of 53.5 persons per square kilometer. On the other hand, Germany’s population is estimated at 82,886,000 people. It stands on a surface area of 357,580 Km2 of land with a population density of 230 people per square kilometer. Comparatively, Germany is densely populated than Yemen. According to the demographic profile of Yemen of 2017, the state is registering a population growth rate of 2.28% while Germany is hitherto, struggling with a significant drop in its population because it has a 0.4% growth rate. The population demographics indicate that the country has lost approximately 1.5 million people besides the 3.4 million Germans who live abroad. The civil war in Yemen has affected the country’s population growth rate because of the increased number of deaths and emigration in such for shelter and peace.
