The World as I See It
Over the recent past, numerous articles have attempted to document places as either having the best or worst weather. From a personal perspective, I have wondered how places such as Greenland and Antarctica are not mentioned, yet they have some of the coldest temperatures as well as rough geographical terrain. Various geographic studies have examined the significance of “personal geography,” which involves the way a person learns about the environment and the way he responds to its geography. Over the years, I have learned that countries such as China contain some of the highest rates of greenhouse gas emissions which tend to negatively affect the atmosphere. Not only does this greenhouse gas affect the ozone layer, but they also tend to negatively affect the environment, people’s health, and the entire geographical area in general.
In the U.S., studies have shown that emission of greenhouse gases has been a thorny issue despite the fact that the government has attempted to implement laws that would lead to the reduction of emission. Over the recent past, places such as Fargo in North Dakota have been affected by flooding, which is primarily attributed to a poor drainage system as well as the weather. I have previously witnessed Oklahoma City being mentioned has having a poor drainage system and bad weather and this could be due to the fact that it is located at the center of Tornado Alley in North America. One of the places that have been mentioned as having bad weather is Mount Washington in New Hampshire, which is my personal favorite. Furthermore, Mount Washington is regarded as being the highest peak in the northeastern part of America. Furthermore, it has a severe weather such that apartments are chained literally to the mountain.
It is also important to note that in Mount Washington, wind blasts as a speed of more than two hundred miles per hour, and these statistics have already been recorded. Moreover, winter temperatures are usually below zero and they are combined with huge winds that create wind chill effects.
