Niethzche’s Notion of a Master/Slave Morality
Friedrich Nietzsche was born in 1844 and died in 1900 and was a renounced writer on issues to do with morality, philosophy, morality, Christianity just mention but a few. He thought the moral setting of his day were nothing but fraud and heavily criticized them these were, Christianity, Kantianism which was all about ethics and philosophy claiming that these did not bring out the real elements of life. He claimed that there were two types of morality; master from he who is noble and slave morality that is from the weaker man all this represent the different types of people there are those that are born to be leaders and those who are led. And with this comes the eminence of good and evil in man is expressed revolving round such issues as power, wealth, health and strength.
He emphasized on morality because he saw it as an obligation to weak explanatory arguments about being noble and other being minor. According to (Magnus and Higgins, 40) the momentous belief of good was perfect which is all an illusion Free will thesis human have a choice in all that they are in life and so this is seen as an element of there being different categories in life those in power and the rest.
Transparency thesis, actions should be seen as they are and not coated with element of lack of an actual intention and that is how people make mistakes. Thus one is responsible for their own mistakes.
Similarity thesis, the ethical codes are meant for the benefit of all.
He links Slave-morality, with Jewish and Christian traditions in defining between good and evil. Good being likened to acquiescence, self-control, humbleness, faithfulness and selflessness. Evil is seen as aggression, selfish the total opposite of all that is said to be good. This rule of morals is seen as a result of there being slaves in society and is aimed at de-mining the slaves in the eyes of their master making it seem like it is a matter of choice instead of fighting back.
Nietzche was highly against the theories of: Christianity; claiming that God was dead there being an improvement in science which made all Christian beliefs seem inferior and loss of what was true, he came up with the theory of perspectivism (human retention of only self made multiple, diverse and baseless notions). Nihilism nothing has a purpose in life and Kantianism terming them as insincere while still there were persons referred to as inferior this is also amongst the reasons that he quite theology and took up philosophy.
Nietzsche’s opinion of utilitarianism as an element of the identity of the English society and not something adorned by all the societies. Master morality deals with the weight of good/bad and its consequences while slave morality deals with the good/bad intentions.
