The article Globalization and Economic Growth: Empirical Evidence on the Role of Complementarities is motivated by theoretical issues. The motivation comes from debate and conflict in finding the effect of globalization on economic growth. The group who will care about the findings of the article is researchers and economic policies makers as they have different views on the effect of globalization on economic growth. The identifiable concern motivating this research is the differences in results given by researchers on the impact of globalization in the economy of countries.
The researchers of the article have presented two short, concise descriptions of the research problems. The research problem of the paper is the relationship between economic globalization and growth of countries and find out what the growth effect of economic globalization depend on (Samimi & Hashem, 1). This article contributes to the larger body of economic literature by challenging previous studies with a motive of filling the gap in the research on the effects of globalization. The authors use the earlier reviews as sources of hypothesis for their article. The authors also use some of the earlier studies as a source of inspiration for the article.
The authors draw upon the supply-side economics theory and use it as an informal source of hypothesis for the study. The paper uses a comprehensive index known as KOF which looks at the volume and restriction of business and capital flow in nations (Samimi & Hashem, 1). The theory used was relevant to the problem as it was used in examining how economic growth can be enhanced by some factors of production such as capital and labor in nations. The hypothesis of th...
