Operations Management Mistakes and Traits in IKEA
As one of the leading furniture manufacturers and suppliers in the world, IKEA is in a significantly beneficial position. This is purposely because IKEA has the opportunity to revolutionize the manufacturing of furniture equipment in a way that equally promotes sustainability and responsible supply chain management (Business Case Studies). Because of this, it is critical that IKEA develops and maintains responsible supply chain management traits while simultaneously avoiding operations management mistakes that are likely to jeorpardize the realization of their organizational vision.

This strong focus on quality has been a core trait of IKEA and has equally contributed to the massive growth witnessed by the organization in recent decades. By producing quality products that are also sustainable, IKEA has managed to cultivate an organization focus and culture of consistent quality and high reliability, which are both vital traits to its business model. Seeing as IKEA equally understands the importance of its employees to the organization’s success, it does a great deal to ensure that it appreciates its employees (Anderson, Anderson, and Parker 347). This is clearly demonstrated in the way that IKEA ensures all its suppliers uphold employee working and safety conditions and standards as a means of compliance.
