You have been hired to be the manager of a brand new internal medicine clinic within the scope of a larger health system. The larger health system has not yet been able to identify a director level employee as your supervisor, so you’re it on a stick.
Being a brand new clinic, new staff are present, some of who are completely new to the network and some who have transferred in from other parts of the network. Additionally, there are 2 doctors and 3 PA’s, all of whom are brand new to the network because they have been recently recruited from across the country to fill the roles.
You have 2 weeks with all the staff to prepare for opening day. It will be a busy day because another totally overloaded clinic is sending half of the patients they see to your clinic.
How will you prepare your people and systems for a very busy and stressful first day? Please use at least 4 laws you would use as the leader to attempt to move everyone in the same direction with unity and preparedness.

Use at Least 4 Laws Out of the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership
Case Study Introduction
Monak Healthcare Centre, a fictitious center to protect the identity of the institution, is gearing for its opening day, which is in two weeks. I, as the manager of the new medical clinic, bears the responsibility to ensure that the institution if up and running in a fortnight and can perform its functions effectively and efficiently. Since there is no director at the moment, the entire burden lies with me. The roles, in this case, including integrating the staff into the network so that there is a smooth flow of activities. Of greater importance is the firm’s capability to ease the load imminent in a neighboring clinic. Consultations between the two institutions indicate the half of the patients in this clinic will be referred here. This scene conveys the urgency to establish an excellent network that is bound to match and exceed the pressures of the job. To this end lies intricate laws of leadership that are bound to help the manager establish a robust network the healthcare practitioners including personal assistants and doctors.

These laws of leadership apply to this case study because they have remarkable features. First, even though some are more challenging to understand and apply than others, persistent and consistent efforts guarantee that they can be acquired. Secondly, each law stands alone, but then each one of them complements the other. Thirdly, they have consequences, which implies that with their application people are bound to follow their leader. In retrospective, failure through violation or ignorance of these laws will result in an incapability to lead the people. Finally, these laws derived from over two decades of experience are the foundation of leadership. The principles are learned, practiced, and applied in life.
The Law of Influence
The law of influence marks as the most important decree considering the state of things at the healthcare institution. Since everything at the institution is new, there is the need to have the ability to dictate the direction of the firm and having people follow this lead. As Maxwell mentions, "the true measure of leadership is an influence – nothing more nothing less" (15). Influence is never dictated by the amount of money or power the leader upholds instead, the aptitude to impact other people’s lives positively. In this regard, a bad leader will have lower leadership levels and vice versa. In the same breath, the character of the individual is quite important because if it is high on the list, the rest of the workers will be keen to improve theirs.
Influence in the institution will provide ...
