THE IDEAL ORGANIZATION
There are various organizations around the globe, both for profit and not-for-profit, governmental or non-governmental. Out of these, there are some that have very exemplary structures that make one’s dream organization. Apple is one such example. It was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Ronald Wayne and Steve Wozniak with the aim of selling computer products. It has it’s headquarter in California.
Its mission statement is “…committed to bringing the best personal computing experience to students, educators, creative professionals and consumers around the world through its innovative hardware, software and internet offerings.” The organization has an open approach to things, especially when it comes to the manner in which it relates with the employees. There are open channels of communication and the employees are taken as a very important cog in the business of the organization.
To ensure continued motivation, the organization has attractive perks for its employees. They include vacation policies, education reimbursements, longer parental leave as well as full acceleration of stock in the case of death (Lev-Ram, 2014). This has not only resulted in increased motivation for the employees, but also attracted and retained talent. The organization combines both formal and informal approaches in its operations, so that it doesn’t appear so hardline.
