Worldly creation in Rembrandt’s Landscape with Three Trees
In Susan Donahue Kuretsky’s book, “Landscape with Three Trees”, there is much that requires a closer and careful evaluation in order to gain a proper insight into the artwork under exhibition. Susan projects Rembrandt’s work as having a deeper meaning than what the eye could easily record. The inner meaning being portrayed in the illustrations could easily be mistaken because in most cases, analysts are confused or misled. Susan delves into the early work of this talented artist, with the quest to understand his mind frame at the time the sketches were done. The complicated nature of Rembrandt’s work was the “Three Trees” as exhibited in figure 212 of 1643. The Landscape with Three Trees brings out the artist’s intentions. The use of wind that is being blown and the cloud formation indicating the sign of rain are classical examples of the hidden meaning in his work. The main theme the author explores is the hidden meaning in most of the works of art and tries to uncover the mask of the hidden facts and truths that underlie the artistic expressions that have been related well using symbolism.
Susan depicts the true work of art when the artist uses juxtapositions to bring about the true meaning of the richness in the sketches by employing the element of duality.
