When we refer to communities this week, we are referring to various groups to which you might belong, such as classes, churches, neighborhoods, etc. In this course, your fellow classmates can be considered the community in which you will write.
Think of one of the various communities to which you belong. Do you disagree with any of that community’s positions on certain topics?
Can you legitimately belong to a particular community and yet disagree with that community’s position? If yes, how? If not, why not?Do you think communities tend to maintain their positions over time regarding various issues, or do they change? Why?
