The role of Success in Our Life
The meaning of a successful life is way beyond the definitions that entail having money, enjoying being wealthy, boasting about loads of tangibles or even degrees we have. Success in life should be measured from different angles and bring those aspects together to explain our lives. The people regarded as successful in life are the most productive and professional members of the society who have time and again been the pillar of the global society. People like Mark Zuckerberg, Walt Disney, and Steve Jobs are highly regarded by members of the society for how their work continues to make the world a better place for everyone. Although some are not alive at the moment, their legacy lives across generations. Walt Disney’s work in the entertainment industry has changed lots of lives, Steve Jobs discovery on handsets has made life easy to manage, and Mark Zuckerberg has connected the whole world in the past years. For me, I hold that the frame and destiny have not imposed a limit to the definition and thus it should cut across economic success, educational success, family’s success and lastly self-actualization.
To begin with, educational success is not an aspect of an individual’s success level; rather, it should be broad enough to cover the metropolitans’ university education system or even the nation’s education success that has influenced the success being achieved across the country. Over the past years, great nations were described by the quality of their citizens which in turn was high resulting in their high development standards. Developing nations had to rely on their high standards too to propel them towards realizing success. Country’s education and training of the labor force determines the level of globalization and international trade in that particular country which help steer success. For example, countries like Greece and Germany offer free college education in Europe. Singapore in Asia is an example of a successful academic adjustment that has guaranteed the county’s competitiveness and comparative advantage.
The success of a country’s economy is defined by the standards of its workforce. Education and training enable them to maintain the competitiveness of the of their economy way above the others. Therefore, as we talk about the economy and economic success, we should have a broad idea of our scope rather than narrowing down to a few individual’s success. Our concern should be on the economy created by a large number of lucky individuals. Thus, I mean our economic success will depend on how the community as a whole will make good use of fortune available to realize prosperity.
A country enjoying economic stability, political severity and social diversity mean that their citizens have even achieved material desires. The next stopping point is achieving self-actualization, and thus they start seeking physical fitness as well as spiritual ordainment.
