REQUIREMENTS
• Reflect on the project:
• How do you feel about your choice of text? If you were doing it over, would you choose the text again? What were the advantages/disadvantages of working with the text you chose?
• Have your analytical skills changed or developed as a result of this project?
• Where in this project did you thrive? Where did you struggle?
• How were you able to focus on a writer’s technique over a writer’s content? Did you have
trouble pivoting from summary to analysis?
• Did you ever have a moment of clarity or breakthrough with this project? If so, when?
• What, if anything, will stick with you from this project? Which activity felt the most
useful?
• What, if anything, has this project taught you about argument, about rhetoric, about a
writer’s technique?
• Reflect on your own writing:
• Which of your existing writing skills were you able to use on this project?
• Which of your writing skills did you have to sharpen and hone for this project? • When did you feel most prepared to write a rhetorical analysis paper?

What is contained in the reflection is up to me (see above), but what the container looks like is up to you. Feel free to dress up your reflection however you see fit. In class we discussed various
genres of writing: story, poem, journal, diary, letter, email, tweet, dialogue. All of these are available to you, so long as your chosen delivery method delivers the requirements of the assignment.
The more bold and innovative you are with the form of your reflection, the more you’ll be rewarded. Similarly, the more honest and searching you are in your self-critique and self- assessment, the better your reflection will be, and the more worthwhile this project of self- analysis.
