Merry Shelley’s Novel ‘A Quest to Belong’ presents three major characters: Victor Frankenstein, Robert Walton, and the Monster. However, the main character and a protagonist in a novel introduced in a series of letters is none other than Victor, Victor’s interest and enthusiasm is ever in natural philosophy. After pursuing his studies in Ingolstadt, Victor in one of Waldman's lecturer is inspired to create life.
Victor’s quest and how he fails, he gained the curiosity about the natural world at his tender age making him belong in a new life of his surrounding world. His gifted ability in the knowledge realm crowns him with the quest of secrets life which eventually causes him to create a Monster to satisfy his belongings. His pursuit of knowledge drives him to create a life of Monster. The life that he created ends up slaying him in Captain Walton's ship, hence his downfall, as reflected ‘‘I feel that I shall soon die, and he, my enemy and prosecutor may still be in being as Captain Walton mourns for his death.
