Introduction
Social change and globalism around the world have largely influenced the human behavior and change in the society in different ways. Some of these changes include socio-political change, technological change, economic and cultural changes. These changes have turned the social life today to be entirely different from 100 years ago. On that note, teenagers as a social group have become the most vulnerable group in the society. The different transformation and change between the teens today and those of 100 years ago is conspicuous Thus, due to dynamism of the world, the teens have changed in terms of behavior, education and literacy level, social interactions and association with technology
First, unlike youths of 100 years ago, teenagers of today make use of various types of high-tech devices such as smartphones, tablets, TV sets, both at school and home. They also learn through the use of technology that is readily available nowadays (Madden, Lenhart and Duggan 9). The teenagers of today have acquired excellent skills in communication through the use of electronic material, social media interactions and other internet sources. However, this technologies have come with negative impacts as kids of today are wasting more of their precious time on social media networks unlike their counterpart of 100 years ago who could spend their precious time mostly on productive activities (Madden, Lenhart and Duggan 11). In relation to education, currently teens have become more literate than their equals of a hundred years ago due easy accessibility of education through technologies and increase of education facilities.
