Go to ted.com and choose a talk of interest to you. Watch, take notes, and make your own unique observations about the speaker's appearance, vocal and physical delivery, content, visuals, the setting, what was interesting, what went well, and what could be improved. Evaluate the SPEAKER on his or her content, organization and delivery. Include the speaker’s name, the title of the talk, and when and where it took place.
How did the speaker make the event engaging through their delivery? Or did they?
How did the speaker's organization patterns affect their message?
What two pieces of speaking advice would you give the speaker(s) to become more successful? This should relate to content, organization, and delivery as discussed in the lessons.
After watching, write a 250-300 word reflection about the talk, including your observations you noted and your overall critique of the speech.
To receive full credit, you must make the minimum word count and give basic details in the first paragraph to detail the speaker's name, the title of the talk, when and where it took place, and what you plan to discuss in your brief critique. No chromepages or gdocs.
