Write a ~500 word essay about your observations of a specific place and time, and of very specific people. Imagine that your reader in Vienna will find your essay in an Austrian magazine. All he or she may know about what it was like to be in California this season is what you write about. In other words, send him or her a written photograph as seen through your eyes. To create this written photograph, first you must choose a setting. Position yourself in front of a gym; grocery department, or convenience store; a convalescent home; movie theater; school quad, sports field, or classroom; pizza parlor; or job site. You choose. Be extremely precise in detailing the relevant facts about the appearance of the physical setting. Use spatial order. Do not state the dominant impression outright, but use sensory and concrete details to leave the reader with a dominant impression about American society and its institutions. The paper should be types and ~500 words in length, MLA format. (50 points) Suggested Format: Introduction: Three to four sentences setting up the theme/dominant impression of the essay. Body #1: A Physical description of the place that will create a single dominant impression. (i.e. the pounding of the water at Niagara Falls) Body #2: Description of how you feel when you are there (i.e. how you feel like such an insignificant part of nature) Conclusion: Three or four sentences combining body #1 and body #2 into one motif.

SUMMER IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Keystone’s Agoura Hills summer day camp is situated at Los Angeles in the Santa Monica Mountains. The camp provides both young and old people endless summer fun. The children also have all chance of learning new things and gaining all the required exercise from very early age. Keystone summer day is a world of greens and blues which is brought by masses of shade trees and natural environment. The camp has the best favoring weather in summer which allows each and every activity to be taken and be practiced by people of all ages especially children our age. One of the activities which take place in Agoura Hills is swimming.
During this period, swimming opportunities for people of all ages are provided and training of children for all levels i.e. water acclimation level to advanced level. The camp has well trained teachers who have unquenchable love towards children. They have enough knowledge on excellent water safety. The camp provides swimming pools and accessories of high and good quality making the swimming to be a lot of fun, joy and quite easy. Some of the swimming pools provided include; 60-ft outdoor pool which heated to 90 degrees, 254-ft. water slide to provide fun and 30-ft.outdoor pool heated at 90 degrees. Other facilities which were available are; fully automated water system for purification, special palm tree shower and dressing areas together with rest rooms. For those who are new to swimming, they are well trained in keystone swimming school to have all aquatic skills. The camp school allows even small kids.
