Music is one of the greatest aspects in life that requires creativity. It is through creativity that one will connect with the listener. Most of the pieces of music that are popular involve aspects of creativity. In the sound recording project, I chose the song Tyer –English Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso OP1 –Hikaru Nara feat Group Full. I chose the song for my sound recording project since it involves various aspects that are creative and which one can come up with their own creative ways to make sure that the sound recording matches the one in the original song.
One of the aspects of world music is globalization. World music can impact our culture in different ways. As observed in the readings, world opens up cultural and political possibilities that are away from our culture. These possibilities play a great role in helping us to learn on the other aspects of culture. When we began recording the song, we first began by understanding the context of the song and the people who have sung the song. For instance, we had to ask ourselves, where does the singer of the song come from and what does their culture look like? What is the message that is being presented to us in the song? Such critical questions played a great role in helping us to understand the culture of the people in the song. The answers also helped us to make sure that the culture has been reflected in a creative manner in our recording.
