Smartphones have slowly invaded every inch of human existence. More and more people are turning to mobile technology for their lifestyles. They use the gadgets and capabilities of their phones to assist them in modern day life like banking and security. However, the smartphones capabilities can easily distract and make people addicted. The technological advancement and the prevalence of smartphones has created a new type of social space where other capabilities of smartphones are making way for new kinds of cultural interaction as it has ability to connect people form far away. However there in as irony as people are becoming less connected as humans in physical environment and the main challenge is passed on to the younger generation who have grown to become dependent on smartphones. Humanity must make the right solutions to how the use of smartphones are deteriorating the value of human life and culture. The impact of the smartphone industry has undeniable negative effects on health on the physical, emotional, and mental levels of the modern youth (Islam, Rashedul, and Rofiqul, pg.73). They must be able to adapt the technological capabilities to further contribute to the positive progress of behavior and communication of the people of today. In this case, what are some solutions that we may do in order to utilize smartphones properly and make a positive impact.
The first solution to give a positive impact of smartphones is educating the people on how to productively use the capabilities of their mobile devices in order to improve human expression. Smartphones are very useful gadgets with many technological features that are used by humans every day. The features can be used interactively by all people. Although the different features of a smart phone vary in the kind of service that it can offer, each feature has a beneficial and destructive part to it. Smartphones are modern day necessities that should be used properly. More and more people are becoming anti-social due to their use of their smartphones. (Kiado). What they are forgetting is that some features like the smartphone’s ability to play music and take wonderful pictures are wonderful platforms for artistic and productive expression. These features easily connect to the world-wide web which makes a wonderful space for sharing wonderful moments and connect deeply with those who are able to appreciate it. Instead of destroying relationships, the smartphone can be used to relay urgent messages and profound experiences smartphones (Sarwar, Muhammad, and Tariq Rahim Soomro, pg. 220). The features are means of connectivity in terms of trends and personal expression and interaction.
The next solution to the impact of Smartphones is using it responsibly to further the bearings of healthy information. Smart Phones can be used to make people think in comprehensive ways through its mind-altering features.
