According to Leung, et al. the diversity of separate and inbuilt social media services presently existing presents challenges of definition; but, there are some standard features as follows: Social media simplify the improvement of virtual social networks by linking profiles of users with those of other people. The users of social media build service-particular profiles for the website that are designed and preserved by the social media group (Sugimoto et al.).
Customers usually access social media services through web-established equipment on laptops and desktop computers. The users can also download the services that give the functionality of social media to their mobile devices. While using these services, operators can create communicating podiums through which people, societies, and business establishments can share, deliberate issues, and amend user-produced content.
Therefore, social media runs our lives in several ways, which is scary to think. Social media appears not to be hurtful but what users do not recognize is that social media can negatively affect their way of living. Social media can become an addiction, damage individuals' mental health, offer wrong information, invade users' personal lives, and affect the users' probabilities of getting jobs. Social media might have many disadvantages, but it is useful to particular people in many ways as follows:
