Introduction
Perhaps not a single place on earth could induce the same feeling of glamour and showbiz fascination as much as Hollywood. However, it has not always been like this. The legend and great history of Hollywood started back in the early 20th century. The initiation of it opened a new era which was filled with great artistry and innovation. In this paper, the focus of the discussion will be on the old classical Hollywood cinematography, the new beginnings and the alterations that come along the way.

The Emergence of Television
Before television, classic hits like Citizen Kane, Rebecca and All about Eve were considered as the Hollywood’s golden age masterpieces. This was the era before the 1940s, and it was the insanely creative era where movies dominated the entertainment industry and were amusing to the people. However, at the start of the 1940s, that era started to come to an end and movie theaters started to get emptier with time. Even some of the Hollywood legend directors, actors and screenwriters ceased making and working on movies. It was the end of the golden age, and the culprit was the invention of television. Television (TV) was an innovative innovation that managed to murder the golden age of Hollywood (Blakemore 1). After this innovation, the old system of Hollywood began to crumble.
Since the start of the television era, it has become a great source of entertainment, and it has proven to be nicely suited to the lifestyle of the majority of Americans. Its pre-recorded programs and live broadcasts provided entertainment to busy homemakers during the day and amuse the earners of the family at night after their tiring day (Belton 325). It was easier access to entertainment which is the reason behind its groundbreaking success.
Classical Hollywood
The earliest era of films consisted of black and white movies which were only a minute or less than a minute long and were silent. In the late 19th century, the duration of the movies began to get longer and started to consist of numerous shots (Hale). In 1898, the very first rotating camera that could take panning shots was built.
Classic Hollywood cinema or classic Hollywood narrative was all about hypnotic illusionism, engaging stories and compelling roles (Belton 19). It was the visual-style of moviemaking that dominates the American cinema between the era of the 1910s and 1960s. To this day, this style of file making is considered as the most persuasive movie-making style throughout the globe.
