Renewable Energy: Process Of Joining A Conversation

Essay Instructions:

Writing to InformPurpose and Description The process of “joining a conversation” involves much more than simply voicing one’s opinion about a topic. Indeed, if we wish to say something genuinely informative—whether in everyday conversation or in formal academic research—we first need to discover what has already been said about the subject being discussed. We can do this in many ways: by reading, by observing, by asking questions, by listening. These are often routine activities, but when we deploy them toward a specific research goal, they position us not only to gather information, but also, potentially, to say something new. Toward these ends, your aim in this assignment will be to build on the inquiry you began for Exercise I and compose an informative essay in which you report on a public issue from the list provided to you. You will not be “taking a side” per se; instead, you will compose a well-balanced essay that helps readers deliberate about the topic in a conscientious and responsible way. Part of the skill, here, will be in showing that you possess the ethos of a writer who has done adequate background research and is able to present it in a clear and non-biased manner (as much as that is possible). The topic itself should 1) be relevant to a general audience, and 2) be compelling enough to invite debate among members of your audience. Please consider the following as you undertake this assignment.

Renewable Energy
Any form of energy generated from natural resources which are continuously replenished is called renewable energy (Philibert, 2015). Examples of renewable energy sources include water, the wind, sunlight, geothermal heat, tides and various forms of biomass. This kind of energy is constantly renewed and thus cannot be exhausted. It is important to pass information on renewable energy to the public since at the moment the world should look for ways of ensuring sustainability.
It is important that renewable energy is used to reduce climate change. The more people use renewable energy, the more the production of carbon dioxide levels into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is mostly generated from the alternative sources or non-renewable sources such as fossils. The use of renewable energy resources helps safeguard expenses for instance on the imported fossil fuel. It also reduces the human dependency on the fossil fuel which is quite expensive. Energy security is another important reason why people need to focus on using energy resources (Philibert, 2015). Fossil fuel resources are concentrated in other regions and absent in others. They are non-renewable, and therefore it will reach a time when they will be depleted. The ultimate motive of this topic is to encourage people to put measures on adapting to using renewable energy resources for power.
Timmons, Harris, and Roach in The Economics of Renewable Energy agree that energy is a very fundamental input to the systems of the economy. They go on to say that the current economy overwhelmingly depends on the non-renewable sources of energy such as fossil. The contribution of renewable energy to the economic systems is 10% because they are expensive. The non-renewable sources have been used for centuries and thus worrying that they can get depleted any time. It is therefore crucial that transition to renewable energy should be underway. They say that it will depend precisely on the policy. It should be considered that with the increase of economic fractures, much energy is required. It is therefore crucial that technologies that can help transit to renewable energy be underway.
Seyboth & Kadner et al. in their report in the Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation say that there is an increase in demand for energy and the services associated to develop economically and society that ultimately improves the lives of human. However, there has been a considerable emission that is adversely affecting the environment. Mitigation policies are necessary to curb this menace. One of the sugg...
