Remembering An Event: A Speak In Front Of An Audience

Essay Instructions:

For this essay, you will need to write about a time when you had to speak in front of or to someone or an audience. While this essay (and all dialogue) will be written in English, you may write about speaking in any language. Remember, this story should have autobiographical significance, so it doesn’t have to be about a triumph. We learn from failure too.

Be sure to read the Guide to Writing (SMG pp. 38-47) to help you satisfy each of the basic features. You may use the front and back of this essay prompt to draft an outline for the in-class essay. However, you may not prewrite any portions of the essay on this sheet. I will collect it.

Not only this but also she helped me understand the meanings of those words so that I could make myself clear before the audience. Finally, the preparation came to an end, and it was time for me to stand before the audience and deliver my message beautifully and impressively. All the participants were asked to wear blue outfits, so I chose a light blue dress for myself for that exceptional day of my life. When I entered the college premises where the competition was to hold, I came across a bunch of native students who were discussing their topics, arguing with one another, and practicing before their turn. I sat in one corner of the college and meanwhile a young girl named Anna came close to me and started chatting. She told me that she was here to represent her high school. I felt happy in her company and started talking in a light and comfortable mood. After ten to twenty minutes, her name was called, so she left me alone and entered the hall where the competition was being carried out. Only the participants were allowed to enter that specific room, so I didn’t miss the chance and went inside to see how the other students perform. Anna’s topic was domestic violence, and she delivered a great sp...
