I will go ahead to illustrate the common effects associated with the use of the private means of transport. I will also illustrate that Chengdu which is my home town has a number of public means of transport but unfortunately the people are not willing to use it. I illustrate why the government encourages people to use public means of transport by the use of statistics. The closing sentence of the first paragraph will inform the reader that I want to talk about the reasons why the people of Chengdu should consider the public means of transport. In the second paragraph, I will seek to illustrate the disadvantages of the private means of transport which is the high number of carbon emissions. Most of the carbon emissions take place through the different means of transport. I will use data from the Environmental Protection Agency (APA) to illustrate how carbon emissions from the means of transport affect the environment. APA also reports that China contributes 30% to all the carbon emissions in the world. This information will awaken the people out of their comfort zone since China is the leading carbon emitter in the world. In this paragraph, I will also use practical examples to illustrate and make the people understand what I am talking about. Throughout the first paragraph, my intention is to make the reader visualize the disadvantages of using the private means of transport. In the third paragraph of my argumentative essay, I will give another reason which is time saving. People waste so much time on the road due to the occurrence of traffic jams. Most of these traffic jams are caused by the private means of transport. In this paragraph, I will use myself as an example. When I am traveling from the US back home, I do spend 12 hours on the flight. After getting to home, I will have to spend another hour due to the traffic jams. I will try to make the reader visualize the challenge in this case by illustrating that it is a wastage of time since I have travelled through the plane and I am already tired.
