Stewardship in Nelson Mandela
Creation of a leader is a process which requires endurance as an individual as well as community involvement. It is revealed that a leader who successfully passes through departure, passage and arrival usually has an attribute of selflessness and stewardship. One of the leaders with such attributes was Nelson Mandela among his colleagues who were imprisoned in Robben Island where they lived in deplorable conditions. Through passages of leadership creation, Mandela was able to soldier on to redeem his people from the oppression, apartheid and later formed a government that was inclusive.

He was placed under hardship conditions with hard labour and constant beatings (Brand South Africa para. 33).
Lastly, the arrival stage normally ushers in the moment of redemption, freedom as well as hope. For example, Mandela was a leader who was hopeful for a better life. His release from the prison after several decades of confinement brought hope among the African people who were oppressed by the apartheid regime as well as inspiring confidence and strength among people at the international level and was truthful to his course of freedom (Brand South Africa para. 35). Secondly, the arrival stage is noted at his time as the preside...
