A Holocaust museum serves as a memorial place for the people who perished during the mass killing of the Jews. This genocide aimed at wiping out the Jews race. It reminds people of the events that transpired during such a historical time. The absence of democracy and the dominance of dictatorship and selfish motives of power and authority during the Nazi regime in Germany. This part of history reminds us to embrace democracy where every individual matter. Following the dreadful genocide and killing of innocent people, visiting the memorial museum arouse emotions of remorsefulness. It enables individuals to keep to the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of 1945 of ‘no more shedding blood’. The Holocaust memory lingers in American society and aids in embracing diversity CITATION Joa03 \l 1033 (Katz).
Similarly, the fine art museum represents a historical description of an event, person, culture or a specific occurrence. It serves to remind people of something that happened. The memory of an event or cultural artifact keeps the generational passage of history. For instance, a sculpture of Martin Luther King Jr. at a glance reminds an American of the black American civil rights activist. His role in fighting against racism and equality in human rights and his assassination is a motivation to many on the significance to stand up for constitutional rights and amendments.
