The healthcare of the United States of America is a unique example among the first world and industrialized countries but it has a lot of room for improvement when it comes to mental healthcare services and providence. U.S. does not have a uniform system for health and health care coverage, but in recent times, they have started to act on the legislation of authorizing healthcare coverage for all people. The U.S health care system can best be described as a hybrid system. They do not just operate a National Health Service, single-payer national health insurance system or multi-payer health insurance fund, but the different systems overlap with each other. In the year of 2014, U.S healthcare was sourced from private funds. 28% of those funds came from common citizens while 20% came from funds provided by privately owned business. The State and local governments accounted for 17 percent of the total spending and the 28 percent was accounted to the federal government. (Smith, 2015)

In subsequent years, this number has been steady.
Another findings provided by the Mental Health America Organization is that the number of the youth that are experiencing a mental health disorder, or illness, or condition is on the rise. A major condition that youth are undergoing is a type of Major Depressive Episode which affects their performance in school and there social skills. The report shows that there was an increase of 11.93% to 12.63%. The percentage for the young people who received treatment for their Mental health condition is significantly lower than those who did not receive treatment. Only 62 percent of the young Americans who had Major Depressive Episodes were willing and put effort into receiving treatment.(Long, 2016) The Mental Health America organization provides data about the increasing rate and percentage of people who are needing Mental Healthcare in the country.
