The memories of most adults are usually shaped by their childhood experience. These experiences (positive or negative) depend on the setting and prevailing environmental conditions at the time. Due such experiences, they have varied experiences with the youth in terms of sights and scents which bring back flashbacks of their youthful days. The author of the text (Moses Milstein) paints a picture his childhood experiences has influence his or her thought process that are based on certain stereotypes and social prejudices and have developed a certain attitude regarding the modern society and environment.
