Mandatory Introduction
I am happy to be part this university, I am from Vietnam, and I am currently studying at Huston Community College majoring in Accounting. I am planning to transfer to the University of Huston to acquire my bachelor's degree. My career goal is to attain my bachelor degree in accounting. Even though I am not interested in politics and government activities, I do participate in the voting process because I know that government and politics affect our daily lives.
It is everyone's responsibility to elect their representatives who make decisions about law and regulations that affect our daily lives. Electing good leaders means having sound government policies to improve the lives of its citizens. I am not affiliated with any political party, but I do believe that the government has the obligation to provide its citizens with basic services like affordable health care services, education, shelter, and livelihoods.
Having read about Mahatma Gandhi's life of simplicity, he has been my hero; Mahatma Gandhi is admired by many because of his visionary leadership that still shines like a symbol of hope. His simplicity and concern for the vulnerable people in the community are some of his unique characteristics.
