It is nice to think that after many years, women are finally achieving equality within society. The many years that women have struggled to end society's male dominance cannot even be compared to the fight for racial equality. But as seen in Valerie Solanas' book, those under oppression can sometimes go beyond city limits. The kind of words that Solanas uses to describe men and to instigate hatred towards them is out of the ordinary. One hundred years before her time, she would have been forced to remain in a mental facility receiving all kinds of harmful psychological treatment. But her time was different, and she was able to voice her opinions rightly.
