Perhaps the greatest invention or medium of communication over the past century or two, is the television. It has had great impacts on the people, both today and over the past too.
Millions of families’ worldwide sit in front of the television set every day to relax after a tiresome day. For most children, television is the major source of entertainment. Whenever they get home from school, they sit to watch cartoons on television. For most people, television is considered the gateway to the world of fantasy. It is usually quite rare to find families with no televisions. These families hardly imagine a life without a television in the contemporary world. To a great extent, in addition to being a medium for information, the television is also a symbol of prestige. It can be compared to the prestige car owners have.
