Preparation and cooking of pizza mainly involves a dough base, tomato paste/sauce, cheese, and an assortment of toppings that provide different tastes and varieties available. This guide will thus provide a reference on making two large pizzas with essential ingredients and cooking tools available in local stores and home settings. Firstly, the ingredients required to prepare the dough for the base of the pizza include “one and a half cups of warm water, two and a quarter teaspoons of active dry yeast, three and three quarter cups of all-purpose flour, two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, two teaspoons of salt and one teaspoon of sugar” (Bauer). Additional ingredients in preparation of pizza further includes tomato paste/sauce, grated cheese and different choices of pizza toppings. Pizza toppings may consist of pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, bacon, pineapple, chicken, ham, or beef. Therefore, the combinations used may differ with regard to preferences required.
