The Great Gatsby Theme Analysis Essay
Fitzgerald's Great Gatsby outlines the story of a young billionaire, Gatsby, who is obsessed with Daisy. The story revolves around various characters hence bringing about the theme of imagination. The character's thoughts lead them into doing things that they could have done differently if they had followed the values of a real-world instead of their imaginations. Through the various characters, Fitzgerald is able to show that imagination is bad because people need to know what is real and trust what really happens.
Fitzgerald uses Gatsby's obsession with Daisy to show that imagination is bad, and people should know what is real. Given that Gerald is a billionaire, he believes that he has everything necessary to win the love of Daisy.
