Reasons why Freshmen find it difficult to comply with Class Expectations
Freshmen students do formulate various expectations about both class and college life even before they leave their homes. Being young adults, they look forward to starting a new life with a lot of eagerness of experiencing a kind of freedom they never had before. Some of them who were initially enthusiastic end up discovering that the experience they get few months after joining college falls short of their expectations when they do not certain requirements especially in classes. To some of them, it is their first time to do most things such as doing laundry and waking up on their own. Additionally, it will be their first time to share a room. Even those who commute face various adjustments since they meet a new body of students and different set of norms and expectations than what they were used to during their high school life.
