Jeremy Hammond was not an ethical hacker. Ethical hackers help solve issues affecting society but in an ethical manner by not interfering with their personal details. They help find gaps in systems and sources for aid in looking for digital solutions for the problem. Although hacking involves illegally getting into someone else's computer or digital system and controlling it to access data and information, it is unethical to accessing people's personal files and giving them out. Hammond gave out personal and confidential data to WikiLeaks. Hence, he was an unethical hacker.
