Robots are increasingly lighter and more nimble than before and this has allowed manufacturers to improve competitiveness compared to low cost manufacturers like China and Mexico (Hagerty). The industrial robots have mostly even used in the auto industry, and now there is adoption smaller and smarter robotics that are adaptable and flexible. The robotic technology does not place humans in dangerous situations, and people work alongside them to assist in assembling different components. This article is relevant to the essay since it highlight that robots do complement the work that humans do while increasing efficiency and productivity rather than simply replacing workers.
