The textual approach combines the narrative form of a film with sounds and the moving pictures. However, the transition from silent films to sound where there was no recorded sound was also capable of communicating even when there was no dialogue. It is baffling that the mixed laughter could be used to convey a message even without dialogue and show of motion. Despite limited technology between the years 1927-1933, it is interesting to learn that even with limited dialogue films represented the cultural phenomenon present in the society. Incidental sounds simply appear during a performance, and interpreting them depends on the performance because they are not clear words.
