The speech by Richard III has significantly revealed his characteristics and has also divulged his plans. For example, Richard asserts that since he is not happy because he is not sexually successful with women, he is determined to destroy and devastate the prosperous times by making other people feel miserable. Additionally, Richard is keen on proving that he is a villain and focused on spreading rumors that would cause King Edward to suspect and imprison Clarence, and this is realized when Clarence guarded as he walks onstage. Additionally, Richards shares these plans very intimately with the readers, and the audience can understand Richard’s traitorous character when he is determined to cause trouble between the brothers.
