My name is Thuong Nguyen a Vietnam national. In the past I have taken English classes in Esol 3 and Esol 4 as a way of bettering my English skills. My experience in these classes was pleasant as I got to meet students from other different places who were also taking English classes. My most memorable thing about the class was the nice teachers who were patient enough to ensure that all the students became proficient in the English language. For the class, what I liked most was the nice environment that we were subjected to but it was a little bit frustrating when we had to do a lot of assignments.
My commitment in life is to become an accomplished accountant and get employment in an international company. I also have a desire to start my own business back in my home country when I raise enough capital. My current goal in college is to become proficient in the English language in order to be able to transfer to another institution where the students are taught in English. Even though I am currently learning the English language, my major in college is accounting and my current goals are acquiring knowledge and improving my English skills.
According to my opinion, the greatest crisis that is facing the world today is terrorism. The reason why I believe that this is the case is because for a long time people thought that terrorism was only confined to third world countries but this has changed dramatically and today nearly every country of the world is threatened by terrorism. This is something that I believe has the potential of destroying the world if it is not addressed with urgency. The manner in which terrorists have changed their strategy is also a worrying trend as it is now hard to predict the manner in which the terrorists will execute their plans.
There is something outstanding about everyone. One thing that is unique about me is the ability to withstand pressure and go for what I believe is ideal for me. This explains why I took the challenge to study the English language while I could have settled for a college teaching in Vietnamese. This ability to withstand pressure and face challenges head on has also been the reason why I chose to major in accounting which is considered as a hard course by many students.
