Completing college is a big commitment, but having a good career after college is one of the biggest dreams every student wants. Every student’s dream of working with a reputable company and earn a good salary. That is why a degree in business majors will offer me limitless opportunities to advance my career in the business world. By majoring in business management, I will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings. These include working for the government, and major corporate bodies.
I have desired to become a business manager or an administrator of a major corporation. I always have dreamt of working in a busy environment, analyzing business strategies, figuring out the best ways to make more profits and steering the company through difficult situations (Middle Tennessee State University 3). What drives me to become a manager in the future, is the interesting mix of challenges within an organization that requires solutions. A manager needs to handle human resource, financial problems, legal, political and environmental challenges effectively. All these challenges will test their decision-making capabilities situations (Middle Tennessee State University 2).
A degree in business majors requires a two-year associate degree in business administration. Nevertheless, an additional four-year degree in business administration, can open doors for several career options. Management is an essential business function, being a manager, I believe that I have the greatest responsibility to unite people and work together towards achieving a common goal in business. Majoring in business management can greatly enhance my career opportunities in the future. Even if I do not get the chance to work at the management level, I can opt to run my own business effectively due to my professional skill in business management situations (Middle Tennessee State University 1).
Being a manager entails having great communication skills to become a competent leader. Business management major is diverse; I would like to focus on operations management in business. Business management course, I believe, can propel me to a better future. I am confident that I can be successful in this area. I remember in high school, I would organize events and coordinate field trips. I would assign people tasks to do and evaluate their performance. Even if I was just playing with my friend or at home, I used to like organizing games and activities for the day. I was once invited to organize a get-together party for my grandmother; this is when I realized that I could manage people and events successfully. I visited my father in his office since he was too busy to spend time with us. I was inspired by my father's ability to multitask by being a successful businessperson, without feeling overwhelmed.
Buying and selling is a process we encounter every day; sales agent knocks on our doors to promote new products.
